![]() (Plus physical copies of the most treasured images.)ĭrovella: Shouldn't one still have the original images? And the last one in the back up process: hard drive>external hard drive 1>external hard drive 2> CD/DVD>Cloud the only original copy?Īctually the copy on Flickr IS the back up - or rather, *one* of the back ups. who knows how long Flikr will exist in its current form Yahoo is for sale my friends - back up your photos soon. you have to authorize the app, and then you can then browse to one of your Flickr albums and select the photos you want to print. I just found that if you start on the Snapfish site, it's fairly easy to add your Flickr photos from there - choose Add Photos, Flickr. Generally it's a matter of trying to get all I want into the frame before it's ordered.Īgree it's extremely frustrating that the Create Prints functionality has disappeared from Flickr (unless you want a big wall canvas or a book). Sometimes I've had a problem with something cut off, which I've handled different ways. Once I've gotten the photos on Snapfish, and particularly once I learned about editing options, they've been good. Recently I couldn't find any way to do that again so tried it through Flickr. I had to go through Customer Service more than once. Then they eliminated the original version without really making that clear, etc.,etc. When they changed the Snapfish I had a lot of trouble for a while they had the "original" (or whatever it was called) and the new version. And why do they not have any customer service? There's not even a way to ASK them about this.įor years I was ordering Flickr photos through Snapfish. If this option is really gone, I will have to stop using Flickr entirely. I've used it for years, and they have slowly made it more and more difficult to order prints. The only reason I use Flickr is order prints. Literally, think about how many hoops you have to jump through!īut I always thought they were above removing it entirely! My conspiracy theory is that they intentionally make the "order simple 4圆 prints" option hard to find so that you are enticed to order something more expensive. If they don't have this function, what the heck is the point? Well these responses are making me feel better-I was going crazy trying to figure this out. They live faraway and are not tech savvy so it's been a really nice option. I typically send prints to the Walgreens closest to my parent's house every month (of their grandkids). Thanks, I'll wait a week and check again. Pictures from the Ghost Garden edited this topic 94 months ago. Searching on Google the update appears to have already happened in the US. Maybe the apparent cessation (or perhaps it is just a suspension during the transition) of the Flickr partnership is related to this.Įd to add. On the UK website Snapfish say that they are re-launching with a brand new site on 23rd March and a note on their current site tells users to complete any current projects or orders by midnight on the 22nd. That's like, step one for a photo sharing site, I would think. It does seem a little mindblowingly shortsighted that a photo site wouldn't have a single option to make prints. ![]() A lot of online photo printing services still have options to pull photos in from Flickr. You should try going directly through Snapfish, or even Walgreens. Looks like they may have ended their partnership? The Snapfish option was available as recently as a couple of weeks ago via the Organizr, but now it's gone. ![]() Did Flickr remove this option? If not, where it is? Thanks. ![]() When I go to create, I can only create wall art or a photo book. I've been using Flickr for many years and I've always been able to select photos, then send them to Snapfish and have them printed at a Walgreens.
